Such projects make it possible to bring together knowledge, expertise, financial resources and economic actors throughout the EU, so as to overcome important market or systemic failures and societal challenges. Objective

IPCEI aims to bring together public and private sectors to undertake large-scale projects that provide significant benefits to the European Union and its citizens.

Themes

IPCEI themes are:

  • cloud infrastructure and services
  • battery cells and modules
  • hydrogen
  • microelectronics and semiconductors.

Details

  • IPCEI focuses on investment projects, but research and development projects can also receive funding.
  • IPCEI allows for a funding of up to 100% of the eligible costs of a project (if this is justified by the funding gap analysis).
